Two Men Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes among them the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
