Letitia James Faces Criminal Financial Fraud Charges
A federal grand jury has indicted Letitia James for bank fraud on Thursday, according to someone with knowledge of the case.
The US attorney for the eastern district of Virginia directly submitted this case to the grand jury this Thursday, the person said.

Halligan was installed as US attorney the previous month following Donald Trump grew impatient with the pace of investigations involving adversaries.
This action marks a recent strategy to weaponize the Department of Justice to penalize political rivals.
This occurs 14 days following Halligan secured charges against James Comey.
Career prosecutors drafted a memorandum in that case outlining why indictments lacked merit.
Comey entered a not guilty plea this past Wednesday.
