Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring over a crowded coastal shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a row of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Videos shared on the internet capture the helicopter beginning to twirl near the shoreline then plunging near the border of the coast, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
