According to a new research, almost a fifth of young adults in the UK are using artificial intelligence to design their holidays.

Generational Divide in AI Adoption

Although traditional pre-arranged vacations continue to be the top choice, research shows that about one-fifth of 25- to 34-year-olds utilize artificial intelligence like ChatGPT for travel inspiration.

Conversely, under three percent of seniors use AI as a resource for vacation planning.

Across the board, 25% of UK residents continue to choose traditional brochures when organizing their journeys.

At present, eight percent of respondents stated they rely on AI for inspiration, increasing from four percent in the previous year.

Young Holidaymakers and Mental Health

The study also found that millennials were most likely to describe a vacation as "vital for their mental health".

An impressive the vast majority of younger adults held this view, versus the average across all ages figure.

Eco-Friendly Considerations

Young tourists were also twice as likely to choose a company, hotel, or location based on its eco-friendly policies.

About twenty percent of 25- to 34-year-olds valued environmental factors, against 10% overall.

Doubt About Eco-Friendly Statements

Several experts voiced reservations about such statements.

People aims to be more eco-friendly – yet if it’s more expensive, they often hesitate about it.

Nonetheless, the same expert commented that young travellers "are much more aware and mindful of wellbeing than when I was young".

The problems with too many visitors in Spain and other places were attributed to "unregulated accommodations" instead of big operators.
